Spring Flowers

Easter came and went and it was glorious....if a bit rainy and cold and we heard tales of a hailstorm as well.   And the flowers were  just bursting everywhere - it was all squill and apple blossom and lemon balm and daffodils. The Japanes Approach to Rain and a Few Other Things too

 

This little tome has been selling like crazy at the store.  And there's no doubt about it, the Japanese just have the most charmingly cuckoo relationship to objects. Or at least that's how they write about it.  Case in point, and just in time for the rainy season, these lovely umbrellas from our Japanese friends in Seattle.
