Truth is, it's been kind of a long, cold, a little bit of a depressing
winter around these parts. Besides two real snowstorms, we had that
uber cold, like coldest that it's been since I've lived in Oregon cold.
I lost quite a few plants in the yard that, as it turns out, I am
pretty attached to. It sounds a little odd, but I really think I've
been grieving the loss of these plants. My bursting out of it's oak
barrel New Zealand flax, pretty much all my succulents except for some
real die hards turned to slime, my fatsia japonica has no leaves,
several jasmine are gone, a fern or two disappeared and the list goes
on.
But spring is definitely here.....seemed like around last week everything just started bursting out.
I LOVE SPRING!
Oh, sorry about your plants! But on the plus side, you'll have the fun of finding replacements, and the annual hardy plant sale is coming up at the fairgrounds. I went for the first time last year and haven't managed to kill 'em all yet.
