  We are primping  our jewelry cases at the store.

And polishing everything so it's bright and sparkly -

And finding turquoise a lovely antidote to all that Valentine's pink (not that we don't love pink, because we love pink, just not all pink, all the time)!

May we all have a little moment of turquoise in our lives.

 

An Almost Dried Flower Project

 It's been super mild weather wise around here and so I've been out gardening.  And, if I do say so, it's a mighty fine time of year for gardening.  Hence, my little homage to the few grasses and 'weeds' that have managed to hang out through it all.

 These allium flowers kind of looked like sparklers so I made them New Year cards.

I was so  into it, I made this little series of 5 which now graces my dining room wall.

From left to right - allium, hypericum, unidentified grass, rumex, daucus...or

chive, saint john's wort, unknown grass, yellow dock, queen anne's lace.

And tonight Taylor and I are going out to Deep Woods Event Center to hobnob with our colleagues in the wedding biz.  We've never been there so looking forward to checking out this amazing site (as in not an internet site but a real live location).

Wedding season is coming fast and furious and we are totally here for you.

Feeling Lucky

Lambchops, I went dark on you for a bit because I went to Las Vegas and went shopping to find all kinds of goodies for the store. 

The good should start coming in any day now.

Valentine's Day is Not so Far Away or A Retailer's Job is Never Done

I love collaborating and I love working with creative types.  So I couldn't be happier to have longtime Passionflower shopper Terri Wilson helping us with window display and a few other goodies around the store.  Here's the Valentine's window about halfway done.

The Color Purple

 

We're doing a reset at the store.  The Christmas is all tucked away and we're cleaning and tidying and organizing.  I'm going through zillions of catalogs looking for something that catches my eye. And lo and behold this color purple in the Spicher catalog started talking to me.

And so a wall, just a little wall, was painted purple at Passionflower.
